Exhibition “Yuri Gagarin – Space Legend” in the Russian House of Science and Culture
The exhibition “Yuri Gagarin – Space Legend” starts it work on the International Day of Human Space Flight and is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the first human spaceflight.
The exhibition contains items from Russian and German collections which tell about the life and work of the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin as well as the history of the preparation for his flight and the perception of this grand scientific event in Germany and other countries.
The exhibition includes physical relics (a spacesuit and a flight suit from the 1960s), documentary sources, books, magazines, works of fine art, philately, historical toys and souvenirs with space symbols.
The exhibition was prepared by the Russian House in Berlin using artefacts from its own collection, documents and collections of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the state corporation “Roscosmos”, LC “Marka”, the Space Museum of Space Service International (Mittweida), “OK Projekt” (Berlin) and other organisations.
